Biography
Dr. Brian Samble serves as director of student affairs, the chief student affairs officer for Penn State Berks. Previously, Dr. Samble served as dean of students at Lafayette College where he was integral in obtaining grants for student programs developed to address alcohol use and to combat sexual violence. He has experience in establishing college-town relations and in leading efforts to create a sense of belonging on campus. Prior to Lafayette, he served as assistant dean of the college for Franklin & Marshall College and led the Living & Learning Communities program at the University of Tennessee, which partnered with the academic colleges to offer tailored experiential learning, academic support, and leadership development to residential students. Dr. Samble's dissertation research focused on the design of a world-class university in Denmark.
Dr. Samble received the B.A. in History from Saint Anselm College, the M.A. in Higher Education Administration from Boston College, the Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Tennessee, and he completed the Institute for Management and Leadership in Education (MLE) at the Harvard University Graduate School of Education.
